About the Game

Fancy playing a game of American football, but without getting hit? Try this game and enjoy the thrill of the sport in a simplified and easy to understand way.

Free PNP game, original idea by Chris Hill Translated and adapted by @Ludoman

To play you just need a die, a score recording sheet, a pencil and 8 cards (5 attack and 3 defense). Strongly recommended also to print a football stadium so to control the plays.

12 plays in each quarter, 4 quarters per game. On each play, the offense and defense play a card and the offense rolls a die. To see the advance (or retreat), both cards and the die are compared on the board and the next down is played. If a 1 is rolled, the roll is repeated. If another 1, fumble! If a 6 is rolled, the roll is repeated, and if a 6 is rolled again, the yards gained are doubled... and the roll is repeated! Continue until no more 6's are rolled or a touchdown is scored. You can kick to put the ball away or to kick a field goal. You advance the number of yards resulting from the value of a die roll multiplied by 10. If you don't reach the distance from where you kick, the field goal is considered missed.
