About the Game

Fortressfall is a heroic deckbuilding game of area control.

Choose one of 8 heroes, each with an asymmetric starting deck and an ultimate ability that comes online partway through the game. Then shuffle 3 tribe decks together to form the market deck: every game has a different card pool, so you adapt and hunt for new synergies each time.

The three-dimensional battlefield adapts too. Its outer sectors flip to match the player count, so the map stays tight whether you play alone or with 4.

A game lasts up to 15 rounds and ends early once every fortress has fallen, a variable clock that keeps everyone on their toes.

On your turn, play cards to gain gold and military points. Spend gold to recruit better cards from the market. Spend military points to deploy minions, besiege fortresses, or fight rival heroes and neutral monsters. Your hero is your strongest piece: rush them where the tug of war needs winning, right when it needs winning.

Every 5 rounds, a Dominion Clash scores each area of the battlefield. Fortresses are worth more than open ground, and the central fortress, home to a colossal outsider, is worth the most of all. After each clash the score leader seizes the first player token, so the turn order keeps shifting as fortunes change.
