About the Game

Fox Two!! is a card-based aerial combat game set in the final years of the Cold War.

Designed for 2 to 5 players, each player takes command of a squadron of fighter aircraft, engaging in intense dogfights against their rivals in a bid for aerial supremacy.

In the basic game mode, the objective is a free-for-all battle royale where the player who shoots down the most enemy aircraft wins. However, surviving aircraft also contribute to your final score, and attracting too much attention can lead to concentrated attacks from other players. Striking a balance between offense and survival is key.

There are three types of attacks you can use against enemy fighters:

RHM (Radar Homing Missiles), IRM (Infrared Homing Missiles), and Guns (Autocannons).

Each aircraft has its own strengths and weaknesses with these weapons. For example, the F-14A Tomcat excels at long-range RHM attacks, while the F-16 Fighting Falcon is formidable in close-range IRM dogfights. The Soviet side boasts the powerful R-73 (AA-11 Archer) missile, which outperforms the Sidewinder and gives them a significant edge in IRM-based engagements.

Advanced scenarios introduce more strategic, war game-like gameplay. Rather than a simple battle royale, players can divide into Eastern and Western blocs and fight for control of the skies. Game styles include head-to-head duels, 2v2 team battles, and even hidden allegiance scenarios where you won’t know who’s friend or foe.

Despite covering many aspects of jet-age aerial warfare, Fox Two!! boasts remarkable playability: the rulebook is just three A4 pages long, and a full game can be played in under 30 minutes. The game is easy to enjoy even for players unfamiliar with modern air combat, while enthusiasts will find it easy to expand with custom aircraft and rules.
