About the Game
Fuse: Build Your Heat is an intimate card-and-dice game for couples designed to deepen connection, build anticipation, and gradually turn up the intensity. Players move through three escalating levels of play: Connection, Intimacy, and Passion.
At the beginning of the game, players agree on a prize for the winner and a playful forfeit for the loser, based on their comfort level and preferences.
On each turn, players draw cards that prompt conversation, physical touch, playful challenges, or creative role-play scenarios. A unique dice mechanic adds variety by randomly selecting body parts or actions, making each playthrough feel different. Profession and situation cards introduce light improvisation and fantasy, keeping the experience spontaneous and engaging.
Players earn coins by successfully completing tasks and answering questions. If a player chooses not to perform a task or answer a question, they must give up the number of coins indicated on the card. As an optional alternative, players may choose to take a small drinking penalty instead of losing coins.
The game follows a fixed progression on the board and ends immediately when one player reaches the final red flame space, which typically occurs after approximately 30 turns per player.
When the game ends, both players count their coins. The player with the most coins wins and claims the agreed prize. The other player completes the agreed forfeit.
While Fuse emphasizes consent, customization, and shared enjoyment, it has a clear end condition and a defined winner based on in-game scoring. Replayability comes from customizable intensity levels, randomized cards, and dice outcomes.
