About the Game

GGx (Gran Gol Xapes) is a free print-and-play tabletop football game inspired by traditional bottle-cap football, Subbuteo and Tipp Kick.

Two players compete in a football match by flicking their playing pieces across a tabletop pitch to move the ball and score goals. Play follows a turn-based system in which the attacking player takes two flicks and the defending player takes one.

Possession can change through missed shots, deflections and the position of the ball. The game also includes fouls, yellow and red cards, penalties and offside.

Matches can be played in two five-minute halves or as a best-of-five-goals match. Players can make the game components at home using the freely available print-and-play files.
