GameChanger 2026

In GameChanger, you experience the journey from a board game enthusiast to a first time designer. Immerse in the wonderfull world of board games. Get help from people all around the globe to enhance your ideas to create the most popular tabletop game for years to come!

Each player has their own bag of 12 2-sided dice which are workers with numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4. They represent the amount of players at a table. During each round, everyone simultaneously draw 6 of these from their bag. Extra chips with special abilities that you draw, which have been collected by playing relations cards, are put aside to use during this round. Each player shakes their 6 workers and let them drop to reveal their value. Action spots and their strenght can be triggered, depending on the amount of workers you place. The value of your workers on the same location has to be either equal or different.

Each player will evolve as a person, by placing workers on the following actions spots: boardgame nights at home or with friends, board game shops/cafés, board game clubs, local game fairs, a prototype spot, social media, world game fairs and a crowdfunding area. You will

learn and improve your game explanation skills discover new mechanics and concepts build up relations and gain fans to help you in your journey attract more players design and enhance your prototype create buzz about your game on social media and game fairs run a succesfull crowdfunding campaign try to enter the BGH (board game hotlist)

By improving your skills on the available tracks you will be able to gain 'hype' or 'buzz' points. Within a maximum of 6 turns you create as much hype as possible to release the most succesfull game of the year.
