About the Game

Gawi Bawi Bo is a strategy game for 2 players ages 8+

For ages 8+ 30 min play time

You move and capture tiles following the Rock, Paper, Scissors rules.

Setup Place board between the players

Shuffle the 36 tiles face down

Tiles are placed on empty spaces of the board

In turn, flip over and place a tile on an empty space, starting with the outer edge spaces. Then work your way towards the center leaving the center space empty.

You are now ready to play

Stacking Order A Rock tile can be stacked onto a Scissor tile

A Scissor tile can be stacked onto a Paper tile

A Paper tile can be stacked onto a Rock tile

Play Players share tiles

Play Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine the starting player

Turns then alternate

On a turn,

Move a tile from 1-3 spaces in any of the 6 directions, not over empty spaces or the center of the board. Then following the Stacking Order end the move on top of another tile capturing it.

Both tiles are removed from the board, they will be used at endgame scoring

Groups Adjacent tiles are considered a group, a single tile with no adjacencies is also considered a group.

If a group is split into 2 groups that are divided by empty spaces, the smaller group is removed from the board.

If a group is split into 2 or 3 equal size groups, remove the group/groups that did not have the captured tile.

These tiles are not used in scoring.

When no more moves can be made the game ends

Scoring Total your tiles using the numbers on the face of the tiles

Runs of two or more tiles only count as the lowest value in the run, like (23,24,25,26)

Subtract any (-1) tiles you may have from your total

Objective The player with the lowest score wins!
