About the Game

Geomandering is a strategic, print-and-play board game where rival wizards reshape the world of Terralithia to gain control over the populace. At the heart of the game is a tug-of-war for influence — each player aims to outmaneuver the other by manipulating influence across a political landscape that can be reshaped by casting various Geomantic spells.

Gameplay unfolds across two areas: a central map, where players place Influence to control areas and a personal Wizard tome, were players will learn to harness and improve their spell casting prowess.

Each turn, players draft dice from a shared pool and spend them to cast spells from their Wizard’s Tome. These spells allow you to place influence, reshape the geography or enhance your own spellcasting engine. As you draw connections in your tome, you unlock stronger spells and multipliers that let you act more efficiently over time.

The central challenge of Geomandering is balancing immediate tactical moves (like locking down a key region) with long-term planning (building up your tome for powerful combos later). The geography of the board is ever changing through the actions of each wizard. New rivers can be carved, dwellings erected, and lands scorched. Through these actions, regions can change hands multiple times over the course of the game.

Includes solo mode.
