About the Game

Grey Smoke and Blue Sky is a Japanese doujin (fan-made) game that was available at the Japanese Game market show. The game is about the American Civil War.

The game comes with a map, 16 cards, 3 double-sided leader cards and 20 3D printed army markers. You must also provide 50 six-sided dice for the game.

From the designer's website: This is a game of intense dice rolling and supply management where you fight through four rounds and aim for victory for both the Confederate and Northern armies.

The game follows this sequence of play:

Draw phase. Initiative phase. Action phase. Combat resolution phase. Victory determination phase.

Victory is determined by victory point totals, which change according to the year of the war. Meet your quota and you win the game.
