About the Game
Gyre is a two-player game, played on a hexagonally shaped, honeycomb pattern board. A board with at least seven cells on a side (127 cells total) should be used. The two players, Red and Blue, take turns placing stones of their own color on unoccupied cells on the board, one stone per turn, starting with Red. Draws cannot occur in Gyre.
You win by making a group with the following property: Even if you only had that group, and the rest of the board were filled with enemy stones, no enemy group would cover the majority of the cells comprising the perimeter cells and the center cell.
To make the game fair, Blue will have the option, on their first turn only, to swap sides with Red instead of making a regular move.
