About the Game

Operation Brunete was an epic battle of the Spanish Civil War in July, 1937.

It would be the only large scale use of Russian tanks during the war. Over 100 T-26B tanks and armor cars would be used to break the stalemate setting in around Madrid. The goal of the offensive was to cutoff and isolate the city with two prongs: One from the west from the Brunete area and the other from forces south of Madrid. The plan for these two pincer movements would converge cutting off the Nationalist Franco forces that occupied areas near Madrid. The first 10 days would make or break this plan.

Game scale is one mile hexes. Turns are several hours. This game (unlike all others on the topic) covers the both attack pincers, one from the Brunete area, the other from Madrid.

Game comes with 280 counters and one 11x17" map, rules.
