This card game follows the story-line of detective novels.

Each player is assigned a character who has three characteristics: nationality, gender, and physique. Players play event cards, detective cards, trick cards, and story cards to determine the culprit's characteristics.

It is not important who is the culprit. Everyone just tries to brand another player as the culprit. You can earn big points by playing a scoring card named "The culprit is right here with us!", which steals points from other players according to the number of characteristics that they share with the culprit. Or by finalizing the game with "You are the culprit!" scoring card, when the target player has all characteristics of the culprit.

A succession of turnovers may happen in a game, so play several times and add up the scores to determine the grand champion.

There is also an expansion to the game, called Shin Hannin wa Kono Naka ni Iru!

Publisher's summary: 推理小説のストーリー展開をイメージしたゲームです。 各プレイヤーには、国籍、性別、体格の３つの特徴を持った人物カードが割り当てられます。イベントカード、探偵カード、トリックカード、様々なストーリーカードを駆使しながら、犯人の特徴を決めていき、他のプレイヤーが犯人になるように陥れていきます。 合致した特徴分の点数を全プレイヤーから奪う「犯人はこの中にいる！」で得点を稼ぎ、「犯人はお前だ！！」カードで確定出来れば、高得点を奪って1ゲーム終了となります。 逆転につぐ逆転があるゲームなので、トータルで得点を競う連続ゲームがお勧めです。
