About the Game
Each player takes 8 gnomes of one colour. The 24 garden fence pieces are placed next to the board. The youngest player starts the game and then the game takes turns. The game starts with the players taking turns to place one garden fence per turn on an empty space of the board. Each meadow (green circle) is bounded by 4 sides. This means that 4 garden fences are needed to get the meadow. It's important to pay attention to where the other player places his garden fences. If you have enclosed a green field with 4 fences, you have won the field and are allowed to put a gnome of your colour there. Now, it's the other player's turn again. As soon as all green fields are surrounded by garden fences, the game ends. The winner is the player who was able to place the most gnomes on the board.
