Help Yourself is a flip and write word forming game played over six rounds.
Each round is played on a 3x3 grid - player sheets can be downloaded or simply draw a tic-tac-toe grid and write a ? in the middle space.
Letter cards are revealed one at a time and everyone immediately writes the letter in an empty space on their grid. After 8 cards the grid will be full and you draw a number card to determine the target length for the round.
Start a 2 minute timer and then each player attempts to come up with words using their grid - one for each row, column, and the 2 diagonals. The words must contain the letters they placed in order, adding as many extra letters as needed.
Points are scored for each valid word, with bonus points for starting and ending with the right letters and for hitting the target length for the round.
Repeat for 5 more rounds which will use the entire deck of cards, ensuring all the letters are used (no avoiding the tricky J, X or Q!) and all target lengths 4-9 for words.
