Helvetia: Second Edition is a fully updated and enhanced edition of Matthias Cramer's Helvetia (2011).

Helvetia is a lively town-building Eurogame set in the Swiss Alps that refuses to play the same way twice. You’re tasked with building the perfect Swiss village because, as you know, even pastoral bliss requires some deep economic optimization.

Everything runs on its own clock. Villagers marry, goods flow through production chains, and markets shift, all in overlapping cycles. The trick is getting all those rhythms to line up at just the right moment. They never quite do it the same way twice, so you’re always figuring out when to produce, when to trade, and when it’s smarter to just sit tight.

The Second Edition carefully preserves all the best ideas from the original Helvetia while reworking and updating other elements to create a modern, dynamic edition of the game. It features streamlined and refined mechanisms, a new dynamic and variable market, many quality-of-life improvements, and an extended player count.
