About the Game

Two wizards. One arena. No second chances.

In HEX&DIE – Duel of Wizards, two powerful wizards face each other in a deadly magical duel. Each player must combine offensive spells, defensive magic, concentration and careful resource management to overcome their opponent. The theme is focused on the tension of a one-on-one wizard duel: every spell matters, and wasting magical power can leave you exposed.

The game is played through a series of combats, with the overall duel being best of five. During each combat, players alternate actions and manage their available Magic and Defense while casting spells, along with strategic actions. Wizards can also spend their limited Extra Magic to temporarily increase their magical power, creating important decisions about when to push for a decisive attack and when to conserve resources.

The objective is to reduce your opponent's Health and win enough individual combats to win the duel. Players must balance attacking, defending and managing their magical resources while trying to anticipate their opponent's strategy. Victory goes to the wizard who wins three combats first.

HEX&DIE is a Print & Play game. No specialized components are required: players need the printable game sheets, two D12 and a pen for tracking spent resources. The game is designed to be played using easily available components rather than a proprietary component set.
