秀吉軍記 (Hideyoshi Gunki) 1988

Hideyoshi Gunki (Hideyoshi epic) features Hideyoshi Toyotomi in his path to power. Hideyoshi is Japan's second "great unifier" after Nobunaga and before Tokugawa.

Three scenarios are included in this game. "Mt. Tennō" represents the battle of Yamazaki, Hideyoshi fights against Akechi Mitsuhide the betrayer. "Shizugatake" is the battle of the same name, Hideyoshi is against Shibata Katsuie the most powerful general of the Oda clan. "Masters' Championship" simulates the battle of Komaki and Nagakute, Hideyoshi struggles against Tokugawa Ieyasu the futur shogun. The length of the scenarios is 8 to 12 turns. There are many units but each scenario is playable.

Each player controls one or more clans. The clan's combat units are organized in troops. There are four action phases in each game turn. The number of phases during which each troop can act is decided by commander's activation ability. In the action phase, each troop selects one action among movement, field combat, siege, moral recovery, reorganization and replacement.

The winner is the player who earns the most victory points. The victory point are awarded by capturing castles and destroying enemy units.

SCALE: each hex of map is roughly 6000 meters. Each game turn represents one week of real time. Each combat units represents about 1000 soldiers.
