About the Game

Horrorshow is a televised romp through a sadistic, otherworldly game show’s studio full of monsters and mayhem where we humans are low on the food chain. The 36 contestants are trying collectively not only to escape, but to do so with enough points to keep the sponsors happy.

Mechanically, you will move your 6 teams of contestants down many corridors to obtain studio cards (representing rooms in the game show's studio) that are worth points. These cards can also combine to spell EXIT, without which those points are worthless. Unfortunately, these studio cards will also often cause a small drop in sanity. So why the hurry to go in? Well, chasing these contestants through the corridors are the insatiable Horrors who will have a strong part to play in dwindling the number of your contestants throughout the game.

You must manage the sanity of your contestants, worry about which contestant completes each corridor and claims the studio card, mind the number of cards left in the movement card deck, and keep up a brisk pace in the corridors ahead of the fast-moving and eponymous Horrors.

And even if you manage to get someone out... you need to hit a particular points threshold to win.

This game can be difficult.
