About the Game

Hrabia ("The Count") is for the most part a cooperative card game. Players take on prominent characters, patriots from Wielkopolska and military leaders of the Wielkopolska Uprising. They try to support events leading up to the uprising and also to contribute to its success.

Players are connected by a common cause - propagation and strengthening of Polishness and national identity among the people living in the area and to help Poles in emigration and in the country to develop entrepreneurship and mechanization on the Polish lands. Final goal is Poland regaining independence by merging Polish territories. Players try to best serve the homeland but also compete to support as much as possible any patriotic initiative and in the end get the most recognition by the countrymen and ?subscribe gold on the history cards? - each of them wants to become the greatest national hero.

The game is divided into nine rounds separated by significant historical events in three periods and the game ends by the outbreak of the Wielkopolska Uprising.
