About the Game

Hungry Cells Cells are the basic unit of life and of course, they have a lot of work to do! They are responsible for living beings to grow, breathe, walk, think and dream ... For this they need a large amount of energy and nutrients. In Hungry Cells you will know these nutrients and you will feed your favorite cell! In Hungry Cells the players adopt the role of a cell, they must acquire the 6 nutrients that a cell needs to survive, the first cell to get them wins the game, but be careful! One cell may rob another of the nutrient already close to it. Designed to teach the chemistry of food. It was the centerpiece of the annual booklet of the Science Week activities 2011, conducted by the EXPLORA CONICYT program (National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research) of the Ministry of Education of the Government of Chile. Hungry Cells was distributed along with the newspaper “La Tercera” throughout the country. Players had to craft the game with the central pages of the booklet.
