Hydro Link is a tactical card placement game in which players build and expand networks of pipes on a shared grid. Each turn, a player selects one of the available cards and adds it to the play area, carefully connecting segments to form pipelines. While extending your own network is essential, strategically blocking or disrupting your opponents’ plans can be just as important.

Players score points both during the game and at the end. Immediate points are awarded when a player connects to an opponent’s pipe, while the highest scores come from creating long and efficient networks in their own color. Only pipelines made up of at least three connected segments score points, and only the longest branch of each network is counted, encouraging thoughtful planning and efficient construction.

The game ends when the 7 × 7 grid is complete. Players then score their pipelines based on their length, with additional bonuses awarded for the longest network connecting two edges of the grid. Hydro Link features simple rules but rich tactical choices, offering an experience that is both accessible and engaging for casual players and strategy enthusiasts alike. A solo mode is also included, challenging players to optimize all four colors and beat their own high score.
