About the Game

Imminent Collapse is a cooperative strategy game where players work together as the special operations team, Black Falcon. The team must gather Intel, secure designated Target Sites, and clear Rebel strongholds while managing their collective resources as well as mission time.

Game Play Overview

Arrange the 9 Sector tiles in any configuration. Draw cards from the game deck to establish the sites of the Rebels, Intel, and Targets and place the colored cubes on those sites. Return those cards to the deck and shuffle it. Each player will draw a certain number of cards to start the game. Based on the locations of the Rebels, Intel, and Targets, players will place the Insertion and Extraction tiles adjacent to any of the Sector Tiles. All players start the game at the Insertion Point. The game is divided into three 10 day Phases. Players try to acquire Intel cubes in Phase 1 and Rebel/Target cubes in Phase 1 and 2. The cubes can be used in Phase 3 to acquire various special abilities. Each player can take three actions per turn. These actions include opening a Portal, acquiring Intel, capturing a Rebel, neutralizing a Target, trading cards with other players, or moving from one site to another. All actions can be repeated during a turn. At the end of a turn, players can discard any number of cards and draw additional cards to meet the hand limit. When all players have completed their turns, the Mission Tracker is advanced one day. By the end of Day 30, players must capture all Rebels, neutralized all targets, opened Portals at the Insertion and Extraction Points, and returned to the Extraction Point in order to win the game.
