About the Game

International Rescue Thunderbirds game see players race on a gameboard with graphics of all the Thunderbird characters from the 1960s TV program. Movement is by the roll of a dice from 1 to 100 squares. As the advance, certain squares aid or hamper their progress.

The most interesting part of this game is the playing pieces. Fantastic futuristic helmeted spaceman that look very similar to the 1950s Ajax/ Archer Spacemen toys, manufactured by DS Plastics. Players take off the helmet to begin play and acquire a helmet by landing on certain squares. They need the helmet by square 50 to continue advancing. The first to reach square 100 and the evil Hood is the winner.

The original box insert has a cut out model of the Thunderbird 1 rocket.
