About the Game

Iron Scales: Sky Dominion is a fast-paced tactical skirmish game set in a post-apocalyptic world where dragons exist in a modern era. Players take control of enhanced dragons mounted each equipped with missile pods, machine guns, and other brutal technologies as they battle for aerial dominance in a ruined world.

Combat unfolds on a hex-based map where positioning, timing, and prediction are everything. Each round begins with players secretly planning their movements using custom dragon maneuver cards. Once revealed, all dragons move simultaneously, potentially colliding or positioning themselves for devastating attacks. Weapons have unique ranges and arcs of fire, and each dragon-rider duo brings a powerful special ability to the fray.

Gameplay is quick and deadly, with a mix of light tactical planning and explosive cinematic moments. Whether you’re weaving through clouds to flank a rival, or locking on for a critical blast from a distance, every choice matters and every mistake can be fatal. Damage is tracked through a secret card-based system that adds tension and surprise, with some hits disabling wings, weapons, or control systems.

Designed for 2–6 players, Sky Dominion supports both free-for-all and team-based modes, offering high replayability with a streamlined ruleset. It’s accessible enough for newcomers, yet layered with enough strategic depth to keep veterans of skirmish games coming back for more.
