About the Game

Jama Jama Gorilla-kun is a fast-paced children's action game released in Japan in the 1980s by Tomy. The game features a mechanical gorilla figure that spins at the centre of a circular arena, knocking around plastic bananas and challenging players to collect as many as possible.

Players take turns using claw-like tools to retrieve bananas from the game area while the spinning gorilla attempts to knock them away. The gorilla's arms are activated by a built-in mechanism, causing unpredictable chaos on the board.

The game includes brightly colored jungle-themed artwork and components, and was clearly marketed toward young children. All text on the box and components is in Japanese.
