Before the game begins, a postal manager is chosen from among the players; he leads the game, manages the cash register and delivers the postal items.

Each player now pays 5 coins into the cash register and places his figure on number 1. Then each player rolls the die once and moves his figure forward. The postal manager shuffles all the postal items before the game begins and places them face down in a stack in front of him. As soon as a player lands on one of the red spaces, he picks up the top postal item and delivers it to the player.

If the player receives a postal order or a money letter, for example, the postal manager pays him as many coins as are stated on the postal item.

If, on the other hand, he receives a payment order, he must pay as much into the cash register as is stated on it. Postcards and letters cost nothing. However, if someone receives an unstamped letter or postcard, they must pay two coins or 1 coin for postage; for packages, 1 coin for delivery.

The game was published about 1900.

Whoever reaches number 30 counts from number 1 and so on in a circle until all postal items have been delivered. The postal manager then takes the contents of the cash register as his salary. Now the game starts again until every player has taken on the role of manager. At the end, the player who has received the most coins from the post office wins.
