About the Game

King David: Miniature Battles in the Old Testament Period is a set of simple rules for wargaming the Battles of the Bible and other wars of the Ancient Near East up through the era of Troy.

The game is scaled for 15mm miniatures but is easily adapted to 25/28mm figures by converting centimeters to inches.

Game features include random terrain generation, pre-plotted hidden deployment, propitiatory acts, ambushes, variable initiative and movement determination, missile and melee combat, Heroes and Generals.

Army Lists are included for nineteen armies including multiple periods for peoples such as Israelites and Egyptians. Unit types include Heavy and Light chariots, Heavy and Light infantry, a variety of missile troops, Cavalry, Camelry and a number of culture-specific troop types.

Individual unit initiative rolls make for a freewheeling and unpredictable game.
