About the Game

Koopia is a two- to four-player dexterity game played on a wooden board with six recessed scoring pits on each side. Players use circular discs, taking turns flicking or pushing them across the board in an effort to land them in their opponent's scoring pits. Players can also use their shots to strike their own discs or eligible opponent discs, allowing them to position discs, create scoring opportunities, or disrupt their opponent's plans.

Each player or team has eight discs. A disc scores 1 point when it fully seats inside an opponent's scoring pit. Discs that leave the board are removed from play, while landing in your own scoring pit or knocking an opponent's disc into their own scoring pit results in a -1 point penalty. Players alternate shots until all available discs have been played, then score the round. The player or team with the lower score starts the next round, with the previous starting player beginning again if the scores are tied.

The normal objective is to reach 15 points at the end of a round. Koopia also has a special instant-win condition called a KOOPIA: if a player or team places at least one disc in all six of their opponent's scoring pits during a single round, they win immediately. If both players or teams reach 15 points in the same round, or both achieve a KOOPIA, the game goes to overtime, where the player or team with the most discs in their opponent's scoring pits wins.
