About the Game

Subtitled "The New Cross Word Card Game", L-E-X-ington is another game modeled after Lexicon and Kan-U-Go, that appeared the late 1930s.

Its deck has 50 cards including 2 Jokers, the rest having a letter of the alphabet and a value between 2 and 10. The players are dealt 7 cards (if 6+ players use 2 decks). The first player places a word of 2-4 letters on the table, and each player in turn adds a word to the growing crossword. If unable to make a word, the player takes the top card of the draw deck or discard pile, and passes. When one player plays empties their hand, each other player adds the total points of cards in their hand to their total. Once a person's score is 100 or higher, the player with the lowest score wins the game.
