About the Game

Roma's Greatest Challenge is an operational war game with a card-driven system for two to four players.

With two players:

One will take on Trajan, the Optimus Princeps, leading the Roman and allied troops And the other will take on Decebalus, the Dacian king, commanding the Dacian Entente, made up of Dacians, Roxolani Sarmatians, and the Buri, Bastarnae, Quadi, and Marcomanni, grouped as Germanic peoples. The Greek cities of Tyras and Olbia are included in the game as support events for controlling different sections of the Danube River, since the role of these two cities as allies of the Dacian kingdom was mainly to provide naval support.

With three players:

One will take on Trajan and his army from Upper Moesia Another will command the two Roman armies of Agricola in Pannonia and Laberius Maximus in Lower Moesia And the third will take on Decebalus leading the Dacian Entente.

With four players:

One will play Trajan, commanding the army under his command in Upper Moesia Another will command the armies under the command of Laberius Maximus in Lower Moesia and of Q. Glitius Atilius Agricola in Pannonia The third player will take on the role of Decebalus And the fourth will command the allied armies of the Dacian alliance.
