About the Game

It is late 1942 and the seas are dangerous and frightening. Allied convoys surge across the Atlantic, bringing vital supplies to Britain and Russia. But beneath the waves, Germany’s U-Boats are on the hunt, silent and deadly. You are the captain of a Flower Class Corvette. Your mission is to escort and protect merchant shipping, evade aggressive U-Boats and survive the threat of German air power. Aircraft patrol the skies and U-Boats roam the convoy lanes. Your four inch gun may sink a lone surfaced U-Boat within its limited firing circle, but your depth charges are your main weapon, as you drop them into the deep seas in the hope of destroying an unsuspecting U-Boat. The decisions you make will be crucial to your success as a Corvette captain. This is a game of cat and mouse, timing, and nerve. You’ll manage movement, detection and damage across a range of different maps, using sonar sweeps, depth charges and gunfire, both at U-Boats and at the enemy in the skies above.

Can you complete your mission or will your Corvette become yet another silent wreck beneath the Atlantic?

How the game works This is a solitaire wargame. You play the game, and the enemy is controlled by the game. You will need about 6 standard six-sided dice. It is recommended that the counters provided on the final page of the game are used to play this game (especially for the Ships, Aircraft and U-Boats). Simply stick them to card and cut them out.

Quick to set up, easy to play, very replayable but certainly challenging, this game should provide you with hours of fun.
