About the Game

(translates from Greek as the army disbander)

In 411b.c. Aristophanes wrote his theatrical comedy Lysistrata. It is one of the oldest anti-war plays. The show is about the sexual strike which is declared by the women in order to convince their men to stop the peloponnesian war. This game is based on the theatrical plot and on how each side is trying to assert itself against the other.

Contents 86 cards, 1 board, 6 pawns, 1 rulebook.

Players alternate turns while trying to surpass their opponents in four forms of conflict: voting, influence, charisma and memory. Each conflict is dealt with, like in theatrical plays. The leader of the chorus has the initiative, or everyone starts appearing in order on the scene, or the appearance is apparently random. There are two ways to win: By surpassing certain forms of conflict or by being the first to win 7 conflicts of any kind.
