Mall Cop 2024

Mall cop is a two-player game in which one player takes on the role of a mall cop while the other player takes on the role of a wily shoplifter.

As the mall cop, you will use your investigation tools to track down the shoplifter, but be careful, they may be trying to fool you!

As the shoplifter you must carefully watch the mall cop to determine if it is safe to leave the mall with your pilfered items or perhaps, try to bait them into falsely accusing you.

As the Mall Cop your player pieces will always be visible on the main board. You will investigate decks to deduce if items have been taken or is the Shoplifter just browsing. You will use drone and check zone actions to narrow down where the Shoplifter is hiding. You will use your Mall Cop and Dog pawns to search for the Shoplifter. You will make agonizing choices, choosing when to use your limited STOP door guard cards.

As the Shoplifter your player piece will mostly be hidden, played on a mini map of the mall behind a screen. You will only reveal your player piece if you are found by the Mall Cop or leave the mall. You will however give clues to your location through play, by stealing or swapping since you will have to be in a store space (two spaces with a deck of cards between them) and pick the deck of cards up to steal or swap from it. You will Take items from stores (or bluff and take just browsing cards), Swap items previously taken to throw off the Mall Cop. You will try to stay hidden from the Mall Cop player long enough to sneak past the door guard, but did they play a Stop card this turn, do you have the guts to find out?
