About the Game

From the description: Plot, plan, and place your pawns strategically! That's the key to winning this exciting chess-like game of dueling Super Heroes and Super Villains!

This game is essentially an abstract capture game with the rather strange mechanic of having to declare your threat to any of your opponent's pieces (think yelling "check" every time you threatened any piece in chess)... the AH-HA! rule. This odd rule is joined by a type of "king me" rule in which your super hero or villain becomes a "SUPERPAWN" when it hits the back row of your opponent and assumes different movement rules.

The pieces include the board and six Marvel Universe heroes: Thor, Spidey, Captain America, Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man, and the Silver Surfer and six villains: Loki, Doc Oc, Red Skull, Dr. Doom, Mandarin, and Galactus.
