Mini Charter is a two-player abstract strategy game played on a 4x4 grid divided into four 2x2 "Kingdoms". Players move their King using a constrained jump-movement system to claim territory and compete for control of each Kingdom.
This Mini Charter edition serves as a standalone demo for the full version of Cross Charter. It isolates the core movement and "overwrite" mechanics on a smaller scale to provide a fast-paced introduction to the game's positional strategy.
Gameplay Highlights:
* Movement: Each turn, a player must jump 1 district (internal) or 2 districts (external) horizontally or vertically.
* Claiming: Players place markers on unclaimed districts to expand their influence.
* Overwriting: A player may seize an opponent’s district only when a Kingdom is locked in a 2-2 claim split.
* Objective: The game ends when no further territory changes are possible. The player controlling the most Kingdoms wins.
Setup:
The game can be played with pen and paper.
