About the Game

It's time to go green! In the Monopoly: Go Green Edition board game, players buy, sell, and trade properties, and invest in greening them up. Build wooden greenhouses to collect more rent and invest in solar and wind utilities. In this edition of the Monopoly game, greenhouses and dice are made of FSC certified wood from well-managed forests, and tokens are made with plant-based plastic derived from sugarcane, a renewable raw material. The package, gameboard, game guide, money, cards, storage bag, insert, and money tray are made with 100% recycled paper.

—description from the publisher

Differences in this edition to the regular basic Monopoly game rule-set include: - the railroad spaces are now bike paths, which have a special movement rule to them and are not collected as properties. - no houses, no hotels - when you own a property, you can now "invest in greening it up", which doubles rent - when you collect all the properties for a color, you can now buy a greenhouse (a single one for the whole 'block') that quadruples the rent - no mortgages available on the property cares
