About the Game

The towns are overrun with monsters and you’ve been called out to do what you do best, mash ‘em!

Monster Mash is a tactical roll and write with dice placement that utilizes one sheet for all 4 of the players. Players will receive a character card to represent themselves, which gives them asymmetric powers and scoring, as well as a specific symbol which they will write on monsters they have mashed. The players roll 3 dice, 2 for mashing monsters and 1 for blocking. They can place dice as long as their die value meets or exceeds the previously placed die value in that area. Players will be able to mash monsters in 5 of the areas, the other area is used to change die values and a great way to use the blocking die. Each die can be placed and activated once a round.

the value of the die lets the player mash 1-3 monsters depending on their player power. They’ll take off their die, leave their mark on orthogonally adjacent monsters and score a few coins. If all of the sides of a town are monster free, the players will score a few bonus coins at the end.

Players will need to be careful about which monsters they mash though because the market will reward for certain numbers more than others. Players will also have 4 market cards to change up the games over time for great variability. Plus with 5 characters, players can create a lot options for play to find the way they like the best.
