About the Game

Uncover secrets across 8 gripping episodes in an evolving noir crime saga - delivered in roll & write form. Step into the shadows of Midnight City to search for your missing partner and bring down the Mafia. Gather intel, evade the police, stake out perfect locations for your heists, and cover your tracks.

Your choices in early episodes shape what unfolds later, as new characters and mechanics are introduced along the way. Each episode is a self-contained adventure, but for the richest experience, we recommend playing from Episode 1 through Episode 8.

Episode 5: Stuart “Whittles” Underfoot never planned on owing the mob more than he could count, but that’s where we find him - broke, hunted, and one false step away from vanishing for good. He’s skipping town nightly, trading hotels like poker hands, and pulling low-level heists just to breathe. Hot on his heels is Bruno “Bricks” Lupo, a blunt instrument in a cheap suit sent by Big Louie to collect - no matter the cost.

Whittles isn’t just running. He’s chasing something too.

Carmilla’s running her intel racket from within the casino, while, Whittles scrapes together leads the old-fashioned way: shoe leather and bad decisions. They’re both after the same prize, and neither plans to come in second.

Then there’s Vera. She’s trouble. The kind you want a second drink with. When their paths collide, it’s less rescue mission and more ticking time bomb. This is the story of how Whittles got in over his head - and what set the whole damn thing in motion.
