About the Game

Mysterious Island: The Card Game is a tense, survival adventure for 1–6 players.

Explore, craft, and survive to complete your Escape Objective before the decks run out or your friends perish. In Cooperative Mode, work together to escape. In Competitive Mode, only one player escapes the island!

Player Turns & Actions

The game progresses through a series of phases: Day Phase, Player Phase, Night Phase, Player Phase. The Day and Night decks act as a timer. When these decks run out the island explodes in a volcanic eruption.

Day Phase -Reveal a Day Card. -Apply its effect to ALL players.

Player Phase One at a time, each player takes 2 actions during their turn. The 5 available actions are:

Craft Explore Rest Move Campfire

Night Phase Reveal a Night Card. Apply its effect to ALL players.

Escape Objectives Escape Objectives, which are drawn and start of the game, lists the required Craft cards in order to build each objective. Building an Escape Objective is done at the last Island Location...unless you discover secrets on the island! In competitive mode, these escape objectives should be kept secret!

End-Game Scenario Before players attempt to build their Escape Objective, check the number of DANGEROUS cards in the pool. (Cooperative and Competitive!) • If 4 or more DANGEROUS cards are unresolved, the escape fails. • Players must resolve at least 2 of the DANGEROUS cards before another escape attempt.

Win & Loss Conditions

Cooperative Mode

Win – The Escape Objective has been built. Lose – All players dead, or the Day & Night decks are depleted.

Competitive Mode

Win – First player to craft and activate their personal Escape Objective. Lose – All players dead or Day & Night decks depleted before escape.
