About the Game

Each player starts with 5 letter cards and chooses one to play openly in their reserve. On their turn they can:

play, where they must 1) play a letter card into the common area (as a first, somewhere in the middle, or last letter of a word), and 2) choose one card to place in their personal reserve. Optionally, they can replace a card from their reserve with a card from the common area. The letter put into the common area can go anywhere in the word.

pass. If a player chooses to pass, they place all their cards from their reserve into their face down points pile.

Players end their turn by drawing letter cards until they have 4 in hand. The player who passes first takes the first player card. Once a single player who has not passed remains, that player must announce a possible word made up of the letters in the common area with the letters in the order they were placed. If the word is valid, they place one card from their hand into their reserve, and then place all cards in their reserve into their points pile. If the word is not valid, they must discard all the cards in their reserve. For example, if the cards in the common area are OTAN a valid word could be mountain. At the end of a round the cards in the common area are discarded. Once a player has reached at least 12 cards in their points pile, the game ends. Whoever has the highest total points wins.
