Oikos 2024

In Oikos, you'll lead the population of a Brazilian native species. In this highly interactive game, each species has its own goals do reach victory, interacting with the other species and habitats in many different ways.

The game has five rounds in which each species will play their turn, starting from the species at the base of the food chain. A turn consists, basically, of: adding a new card to the forest (which enlarges the play area), move and collect the resource from the habitat you've landed on, and lastly obtain victory points. At the game's end, each player may score extra points spending pine cones, at a rate of one point per two pine cones. All the other resources (meat, fruit and eggs) may score an extra point for each species that have the most of each resource. After the final scoring, the species that scored the most point wins. In case of a tie, the species with the lowest priority wins (the one at the top of the food chain).
