About the Game

Make Cave Strong. Tribe Eat Food. Make Beast Go Away. Survive. That is the Ooga Booga life.

Game: Each round you cross off 1 Caveman. You start with 10 Cavemen, and can have a maximum of 15. The game ends when you run out of caveman or you completed all goals.

Start of round you roll 3 dice and use them on locations on the game sheet. Each location have its own rule and purpose.

Locations Mammoth: A dead mammoth lies on the ground after a successful hunt. Spend your dice here to chop it and gain meat.

Waterhole: An abundant watering hole home to hundreds of fish. Spend your dice here to catch fish.

Wilds: Explore the unknown lands while avoiding predators. Spend your dice here to choose one of three paths available to gain rocks, berries, meat while avoiding predators. Losing to a predator reduces your Caveman by 1, potentially shortening the game.

Cave: Your tribe's home. No need to spend dice here. At the end of the round you can a) Feed your people to get more Caveman. b) Upgrade your tools. c) Craft a spear to arm yourself. and d) fortify your Cave to get a 4th die.

You don't have to complete all goals to score, but each goal gives you 10 points; Fortify the Cave, Feed your Tribe, Defeat the Great Beast.

Reimplements A Simple Life. Started as a fun what-if idea between my brother, nephew and I turned into a fully playable game that feels familiar to the fans of A Simple Life but unique enough to warrant its own space in your print-and-play collection. All art assets are our own, we took turns picking which items to do hence the inconsistencies in some of the pixel art style.
