About the Game

Open Seas is a pen and paper solo sandbox game. Controlling a captain and a first mate, navigate an endless archipelago filled with dangerous creatures, hidden treasures, and bustling cities. How you manage to survive dangers on land and at sea while paying expenses and maintaining morale will be up to you: explore, trade, fish, hunt for treasure, complete quests, upgrade your ship, build a base, and gain new abilities as your characters level up. But time is not on your side: many quests need to be completed quickly, treasure hunts may yield nothing if you linger, businesses may close down, and an ever-growing evil presence makes all challenges more difficult with each passing day.

To play the game, you need to print or reproduce a Characters sheet, a Locations sheet, and a Navigation sheet found at the end of the rule book (you may need additional copies of the last two). You also need a 10-sided die or two (to roll a d100), a pen, a pencil, and an eraser.
