About the Game

Are you tired of seeing on TV the latest data of the Risk premium? Bored of hearing experts macroeconomic data retrospectively? Overwhelmed by high unemployment and social decline? In PIIGS players represent that pipe dream called "markets", whose purpose is to enrich themselves at the cost of eliminating the welfare state of the five countries that make up what some economists call PIIGS: Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece and Spain.

The game is played in several rounds, split shifts players who make reservations debt countries can buy and sell it later for a profit. On each turn a new debt issue comes into the world economic circuit, which can be purchased in successive turns, and the price will vary as dictated by the rating agencies and the European Central Bank.

The objective of the game is to buy the largest possible number of companies for which we have to get the maximum amount of money on successive shifts, buying and selling bonds of debt to debt reserves of the countries they last or the bankrupt companies. The player at the end of the game has more companies will be the winner.
