About the Game

A board game inspired by the seminal work of philosopher of science Thomas Kuhn called The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. Players come up with hypotheses by curating their hand of exemplar cards and run experiments to validate these hypotheses by drafting and rolling phenomena dice. If the experiment results support their hypotheses, player can get more influence on the paradigm board which represents swaying scientific community members to their framework for explaining natural phenomena. Watch out for paradigm-breaking anomalies in the results though, as they can easily lead to a paradigm shift! The game is played in a historical setting, during a transition period between two competing scientific paradigms, and ends once the paradigm shift is complete and one of the two paradigms is debunked by accumulating too many anomalies. Players who have influence on the paradigm board for the winning paradigm are victorious, with the player contributing the most support for the final paradigm crowned leader among the winners.
