About the Game

Partisans vs Chetniks is a two-player strategic card game set in occupied Yugoslavia during World War II. One player commands the communist Partisans, while the other leads the royalist Chetniks. Both sides compete for control of the country, legitimacy, and popular support while responding to historical events that shaped the conflict between 1941 and 1945.

Players simultaneously choose cards each round, creating constant tension as they try to anticipate their opponent's decisions. Cards are used either to issue military and political orders or to trigger powerful historical events. As the game progresses through three phases of the war, players expand their influence across the map, contest key regions, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Victory is achieved by earning Legitimacy through controlling regions and accomplishing strategic objectives. A player wins immediately upon reaching 20 Legitimacy, or by having the highest Legitimacy at the end of the game. Alternatively, a military victory can be achieved by controlling six of the eight regions at the end of the final phase.
