Pathbind: Setch is a head-to-head strategy card game inspired by the core principles of Chess, redesigned into a compact, boardless format.
Players command opposing armies using cards instead of a physical board. Positioning, timing, and long-term planning remain central, but setup time is eliminated and play focuses on decisive tactical choices rather than memorised openings.
Each match unfolds through controlled movement, calculated exchanges, and the careful management of limited options. While the rules are straightforward, mastery emerges through repeated play, adaptation to different army compositions, and anticipation of the opponent’s intent.
Setch is designed to reward foresight and positional understanding while remaining accessible to players familiar with classic abstract strategy games.
