About the Game

A light thematic game rather than a historical simulation. Optional rules allowing for the inclusion of non-historical ship placement: Aircraft carriers USS Lexington, USS Saratoga, or USS Enterprise may be present in the harbor when attacked. Also the battleship Pennsylvania might be moored at 1010 dock and vulnerable to torpedoes rather than its historic location in the dry dock. In fact "to win" the player must sink two aircraft carriers and a number of battleships. Historically the aircraft carriers were the primary target of the attack and more times than not will be absent just as they were on December 7, 1941.

The player controls the first wave of Kate torpedo bombers and horizontal bombers that attacked Battleship Row and ships North of Ford Island. The player rolls for hits from each individual plane. A magazine hit, like the one that destroyed the USS Arizona is possible. The five midget submarines are also covered. The 2nd wave comprising mostly of Val dive bombers and Zero fighters strafing and attacking smaller ships and airfields has been excluded for simplicity.

Victory points are received for damage to American ships and taken away for planes damaged or shot down. The player can always try to beat their own best point score.
