From the box, "The electronic head-to-head spinning top game. Which Pokemon is stronger? With the Pokemon Challenge, the electronic head-to-head spinning top game, you can find out!

Choose two Pokemon characters from the included disks and insert one into each top. Use the electronic turbo-launch system to launch them into the battle arena. Each player has two sets od flippers to keep the action moving. The last top spinning is the winner!"
