About the Game

Each player has his own deck of 52 cards. Each deck is shuffled. You are playing against the other players, over six rounds, trying to build the best combinations. Waste cards early and miss big scores at the end!

—description from the rulebook

At the beginning of each round, each player deals out 5 cards in a row. Then, in turns, the players choose to either draw a card from their personal deck and add that card on top of any card in their row, or pass, dropping out of the round. When all players have passed, the round is over. The 5 card rows are compared and the best poker hand wins points according to a table determined by player count.

Played with a standard deck of cards, published in Reiner Knizia's book Blazing Aces!: A Fistful of Family Card Games.
